Service was good, food was tasty but a little pricey but I don't mind a little pricey for good food, the coffee was AMAZING best I have had in a restaurant! Over all I would definitely recomed and will FOR SURE be back!!

Only make it out here once a year but for many years in a row always have great food and service.

Our first time. EXCELLENT PATTY MELT & SALAD KEY LIME PIE DELICIOUS! My husband had BACON OMELETTE AMERICAN FRIES AND COCONUT CREAM PIE....OUTSTANDING👍👍

We stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Staff was friendly and we were seated promptly. I ordered the Loaded Muzzle skillet and my dining partner had a waffle. Food was served quickly and was standard breakfast fair, nothing bad or overly impressive. I would have given it 4 stars but when the bill came to $31 I was a little surprised. $2 to add banana slices to a waffle? Not to mention they had no bananas and I had to ask for it to be removed from our bill. Other than slightly pricier than I thought it was a good a visit with friendly service.

Food wax very good. I had the Hubby burger which is a mushroom swiss burger shop juicy and delicious! I was there for a holiday party for Girl Scouts volunteers and we sitting there talking not realizing they were closed! They didn't yell at us or anything. I would definitely return but next not stay after close!

The food was great! The platter comes full, so go with a hearty appetite. We went for fish on a Fri nite and it was done right and was all I could eat!! The service was great too!! Plenty of pie choices for dessert, but I was way too full!!

Usually spectacular. We stop every year when traveling through. Breakfast is reasonably priced and ample portions.I was very disappointed that my hot turkey sandwich was sliced deli meat. The menu stated it was real turkey. The mashed potatoes were delicious, a few lumps and skin, plenty of flavor. Tables did not seem 6 feet apart, that may affect done people's decision to go.

The new management is doing GREAT. I asked for an egg on my burger, and it was done with no hassle. The meat is awesome. This place has definitely been upgraded.

Even if the food was good, I cannot give a good rating, it should not get a rating at all. I was very disappointed that when I went to use the restroom, there were very inappropriate display of political views of our president. This is a business and children go there as well. No business owners should allow such displays in a place like this. I don't care if you are Republicans or Democrats, improper political views should not be displayed in businesses where the public (your customers) can see it... very poor judgment on your part.

The service was very good, the food was very good, but we thought that the prices were a little steep. Example: 1 cup of coffee and 2 pieces of toast were $5.00. Too much. Our other meals were just a little high, but our elderly friend was shocked.

Friday is fish fry in Wisconsin. The choice of fish is baked or fried Cod. We had both along with their clam chowder, cole slaw, and baked potato. My baked Cod was nicely flaky and my wife had the fried. Actually i should say she enjoys a little fish with her tartar sauce. She was particularly pleased that the tartar sauce came in a large squeeze bottle. The clam chowder was hot and loaded with clam. The cole slaw was home made and very tasty. The potatoes were perfectly baked. My wife was appreciative of the cute young man that served us attentively.

Stop here on my commute. Always great service and food. A well run business.

Clean, quick, kind and the food was good. Everyone was hustling around getting stuff done and making sure you had everything you needed. Really nice staff!

Carol was our server, and I can see why she is requested every time. She is so friendly and upbeat, always brings her A game. The other servers also seemed like they were super nice and on top of things. Food was absolutely awesome. The skillets, biscuits and gravy, and omelets are family favorites!

Oh man talk about some good down to earth home cooking! Whatever you eat on the menu, you will not be disappointed. Traditional small restaurant menu, but you can tell each person pours serious effort into their food. Well worth the stop.

Fast, friendly and the food was really tasty!

We've always stopped at the Pioneer for lunch every time we pass on our way up north. Their pie and sandwiches are always top-notch. We stopped by yesterday only to see that very few of the employees were complying with COVID-19 precautions and wearing masks. The hostess was wearing one correctly, but most of the serving staff had them under their chins. Having a few people in the family with compromised immune systems, we decided it would be best to skip the visit this time. This was a serious bummer, because their food is good.

Nice clean restaurant, service was quick and friendly. The cheese curds were excellent! I had the senior Hot Beef, definitely recommend. If you are thinking about stopping here you should.

Great place to stop for a home cooked meal. Very friendly staff and very efficient service.

The food was very good and the decor is great. The service brings this place down. I have never felt so rushed. The interaction with the waitress were the same greetings and thanks to every guest. I was not ready, but she decided to start taking the order anyway. When we paid we wanted to leave a tip on our card. I said the amount I would like the total to be and the person told me they must have the amount of tip I wanted to leave. After doing the math for an inpatient person, I gave a tip. The service was more than a couple bad points out was like this from everyone except the person who filled the waters. I will not be back. A place is more than the food, it's an entire experience.

Gem of a restaurant! Fantastic breakfast, friendly, prompt service from waitstaff even on a busy Sunday. Some of the best hash browns I've had. However, I was surprised that the chicken tenders were a formed piece of chicken and not a chicken tenderloin. Overall, a great experience.

Stoped in for the first time after hunting. If you like relaxing atmosphere and just good old fashioned food. Stop in. You will be pleasantly surprised.

GREAT FOOD AND SERVICE, FOR SURE GOING BACK SOON FOR FISH FRY

Had a mushroom hamburger patty and salad. Was very good. But nothing obvious with covid 19 except plexi by the register. They sat us two adults on a table about 3 feet away from a table with people staying at the hotel (swimsuit). They had a 2 year old that screamed the whole time. All the while there were lots of empty tables. I felt sorry for the elderly couple that was in the booth connected to the side the toddler was on as she screamed and threw things. Gave it 2 stars because the patty was delicious.

The staff was pleasant and welcoming. Our server was very nice, and food came out quickly. The food was really good! My husband loved his patty melt, and was glad to see a hand made patty, not a frozen beef puck. I had a burger, and it was delicious, as was the soup. The kid's meals offered side choices of fries, applesauce, or fresh fruit and included a drink. I noticed, and my husband and I discussed (having both worked in restaurants before) that the place is immaculate! Not a speck of dust to be seen, and the restroom was super clean as well. The prices are definitely fair for the quality you get. I wish we lived closer, we would be regulars!

Food is good. Service is a bit slow, but food was cooked fast once you could get a waitress to take your order. Cute decor. Feels like it was made for fibs to feel like they're still on vacation up north on their way home.

Good place to get some comfort food and homemade pie. The banana creme really, really hit the spot. It's a busy place but they get you through pretty quick.

This was a great restaurant for my family. There was a large variety of food, breakfast is served all day and the staff was very friendly (including to my kids). I can't say that about every restaurant we go to. Anyway, the kids menu also included breakfast & lunch/dinner with a beverage. The serving sizes were very large for the kids, some food was wasted because the portions were so large. The food was tasty. Not too pricey, but pricey enough.

Great breakfast, you won't leave hungry. I had a skillet, my wife had an omelette. The omelet was HUGE. The only complaint we had was paying $2.49 for a glass of orange juice.

Our visit to Pioneer for lunch was darn right good. I have been here for breakfast a couple of times and always had great service and meals. It was busy on Sunday but we were seated as soon as we entered. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with fries and I had a side of broccoli cheese soup. The soup was fabulous. Creamy and full of flavor and big hunks of broccoli also. My burger was what you'd expect to have a burger cooked at home. It was cooked perfectly with that great charcoal grilled crust! The bacon was great tasting and the fries were perfectly seasoned. My wife had the patty melt with the fries. Hers was charcoal grilled with cartelized onions. She said her fries were great. The amount of food served was beyond my expectations also. Give it a try and I would bet you'd come back again and again!
